This is home - Singapore

I didn't have alot of chance to go oversea, but whenever i went, i will miss home.
Not just the home i have, the family i have, but everything i have in here.

To me, many things in here are expensive.
Flats (accomodation), food and many items pricing are increasing and salary isn't increasing as fast as the rest have.
Even jobs such as retails, admin and customers services get low pay in here, but oversea, these jobs were much more appreciated.

However, Singapore make me feel safe and secure.
At least, i do not have to worry. Maybe because i was grown up in here.
I do not have the feeling of getting lost.
Transportation is definitely convenient. I do not have to travel really far.
I received my education in here in complete.
My childhood times, though there were bad and good times, it is in here.
There were friends, of cos, and family.

This song - a make-up by 39 singers, who re-sing it.
Totally touched again, by their vocals.

This is home.

1st work exposure oversea

For the 1st time, i went oversea for work.
Been waiting to try it.

Boss did mention to me that working oversea isn't a cherry thing, it tough.
So, i have sort of mentally prepared myself to work for long hours.
Truely, it hit me quite bad and i experience alot of things.

Always, i do not ask for help.
Not that i'm proud, but i do not know how to ask.
Have you ever tried opening your mouth, but you are unable to express it? I have.
Often, i would scold myself, and i cannot bother others.

"They have things to do and you have things to do too.
So, you have to depend on YOU yourself to complete."

This is what i have learnt, and i'm used to it.
Now, I have to learn how to "open" my mouth to ask for help before things get worst.

People used to say, i'm too lady. I do not believe that.
Throw me all the household chores, and i could do it better than anyone.
I have worked in retail, carry heavy things, and causing my hands to become very dry.

I have to take the sheet out of the double sided tape.
The corners pierced into my fingers flesh. 10 fingers were injured due to all the tearing.
It hurt all night, i couldn't straighten my fingers.

For the 1st time, i look at my fingers and cried.
I cried alot. I look at my fingers, my heart hurt even more.
I have the habit of biting my fingers, but never, did i see blood oozing out.
The next day, there were blood clots and bruises on my fingers.
Only then, i realise, i'm just a lady.

I'm not strong.

Like a pamper child, i like to call my fiance as and when i like.
However, i couldn't do that when i went oversea.
I can't call him, i can't call home.
I do not want them to feel worry.
I have learn to appreciate their voice.

A hotel bed can never be compare to the bed in my house.
I'm known to be a dozing off anywhere, but i couldn't sleep when i was in oversea.
Mayb because a stranger was beside me.
But i still prefer my own cozy bed.

Aside from the work experience, these are what i have learnt.
For work wise, i have learn alot of things too.
I'm very timid.
Thus, this exposure really throw me out of my own shell.
There are good and bad things.
